Floating platforms
The platform structure is made of reinforced concrete to ensure low construction cost, high durability in the marine environment, and low maintenance requirement. The floating platform is made with standardization criteria that ensure modularity to the technological solution. The use of recycled and self-repairing concretes is one of the ongoing technological challenges to reduce environmental impact.

Flexible connection system
One of SEAform’s main innovations is the new connection system between platforms that meets the requirements of flexibility, resistance to high loads and durability in maritime environments. This solution is based on the use of flexible and deformable materials.

Anchoring system
The platform anchoring system consists of synthetic, tensioned mooring lines to ensure less platform excursion, adaptability to changing sea level tides, and greater comfort on board due to the elasticity of the lines. Further advantage of this solution is the absence of steel catenaries on the seabed and thus the relative lower environmental impact and excellent adaptability to different sea depths.

Ballast adjustment system
A ballast adjustment system is provided on board the floating platform in the various lockers located within the hull. This system ensures proper draft and trim of individual platforms in case of different superstructures. Thanks to this system each platform can be used for different purposes ensuring standardization of the solution.

Floating breakwaters
Floating structures anchored to the seafloor that aim to mitigate the most severe sea states. Their adoption allows the creation of artificial sheltered waters for the protection of floating islands in harsher marine environments. The advantage is the site-independent design of the floating island with respect to nominal environmental conditions, while the design of the floating breakwater depends on the specific conditions of the installation site.
